Affidavit of Support

An Affidavit of Support is a sworn statement filed by a parent or other person agreeing to provide financial support for a child in a child support case. The affidavit typically includes information about the affiant’s income, assets, and ability to provide support, as well as any additional provisions or conditions. The purpose of the affidavit is to provide assurance to the court that the child will receive adequate financial support, even if the non-custodial parent is unable or unwilling to pay.
