Interrogatories
Interrogatories
Interrogatories are a form of written discovery in a medical malpractice lawsuit, in which one party submits a set of written questions to the opposing party, seeking information related to the claims or defenses in the case. The questions may cover a wide range of topics, such as the plaintiff’s medical history, the defendant’s training and experience, or the details of the alleged negligence or misconduct. The responding party must answer the interrogatories under oath and may object to any questions that are irrelevant, privileged, or unduly burdensome. The purpose of interrogatories is to allow the parties to obtain relevant information and to narrow the issues in dispute, and the responses may be used as evidence at trial or in support of motions.
