Plan Objection

A Plan Objection is a legal document filed by a creditor or other interested party in a Chapter 11 or Chapter 13 bankruptcy case to challenge the terms of the debtor’s proposed bankruptcy plan. The objection may argue that the plan does not meet the requirements of the Bankruptcy Code, such as the requirement that the plan be proposed in good faith and that it provide for the payment of all priority claims. The objection may also argue that the plan is not feasible or that it unfairly discriminates against certain creditors. If the court sustains the objection, the debtor may need to modify the plan or the court may deny confirmation of the plan altogether.
