Crisis Intervention Policy

The Crisis Intervention Policy outlines the school’s procedures for responding to mental health crises or other emergencies that may impact the well-being of students, staff, or the school community as a whole. The policy may cover topics such as the identification and assessment of students at risk, the roles and responsibilities of various staff members in crisis response, and the procedures for referral and follow-up care. It may also address issues related to confidentiality, communication with parents and outside agencies, and the provision of counseling and support services. The policy may include information about the school’s efforts to promote mental health awareness and to provide training for staff in crisis intervention and trauma-informed practices. The purpose of the Crisis Intervention Policy is to ensure that the school is prepared to respond quickly and effectively to crises and to support the safety and well-being of all members of the school community.
