Environmental Performance Metrics

Environmental Performance Metrics are quantitative measures used to track an organization’s progress towards its environmental goals and objectives. They may include measures of resource consumption (e.g., energy, water, materials), waste generation, emissions, or compliance with environmental regulations. Environmental Performance Metrics are often used to set targets for improvement, to benchmark performance against industry peers or best practices, and to communicate environmental performance to stakeholders. They may be reported internally, to regulatory agencies, or to the public through sustainability reports or other disclosures.
