Greenhouse Gas Inventory Report
Greenhouse Gas Inventory Report
A Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Inventory Report quantifies an organization’s emissions of GHGs, such as carbon dioxide, methane, and nitrous oxide, over a specific period of time. It typically includes emissions from direct sources (e.g., fuel combustion, process emissions) as well as indirect sources (e.g., purchased electricity, employee travel). The report may also include an analysis of emissions trends, a comparison to industry benchmarks or reduction targets, and a discussion of the organization’s strategies for managing and reducing its GHG emissions. GHG Inventory Reports are often prepared in accordance with recognized standards, such as the Greenhouse Gas Protocol, and may be used for internal management, regulatory reporting, or public disclosure.
