Progress Monitoring Reports
Progress Monitoring Reports
Progress Monitoring Reports are periodic updates on a student’s progress toward meeting their IEP goals and objectives. The reports typically include data on the student’s performance on specific skills or behaviors, as well as a comparison to their baseline levels and expected rates of progress. Progress monitoring may be conducted through a variety of methods, such as curriculum-based assessments, observations, or work samples, and may be done by teachers, related service providers, or other school staff. Progress Monitoring Reports are typically provided to parents at least as often as report cards are issued, and are used to inform decisions about the student’s program and services. The reports are an important tool for ensuring that students are making meaningful progress and for identifying areas where additional support or adjustments may be needed.
