Proof of Service
Proof of Service
A Proof of Service is a legal document filed by a party in a bankruptcy case to demonstrate that they have properly served a document or pleading on the other parties in the case. The proof of service must include information about the document that was served, the method of service (such as mail, personal delivery, or electronic service), the date and time of service, and the names and addresses of the parties who were served. The purpose of the proof of service is to ensure that all parties in the case have received proper notice of the document and have had an opportunity to respond or object as necessary. Failure to file a proper proof of service may result in the document being stricken from the record or other sanctions being imposed by the court.
