Response to Discovery Requests

A response to discovery requests is a legal document filed by a party in response to the opposing party’s discovery requests, such as interrogatories, requests for production of documents, or requests for admissions. The response must be served on the opposing party within a specified time frame and must include either the requested information or objections to the requests. Objections may be based on various grounds, such as relevance, privilege, or undue burden. If a party fails to respond or provides inadequate responses, the opposing party may file a motion to compel discovery with the court. The purpose of the response to discovery requests is to provide the opposing party with the information they are legally entitled to receive while protecting the responding party’s legal rights and interests.
