Insurance Policy Endorsement

An Insurance Policy Endorsement is a written amendment or addition to an existing insurance policy that modifies the terms, conditions, or coverage of the policy. Endorsements may be used to add or remove coverage, change deductibles or limits, or clarify policy language, among other purposes. Endorsements are typically issued by the insurance company and require the signature of both the insurer and the policyholder to be effective. They become part of the insurance contract and supersede any conflicting provisions in the original policy.
