Form I-94, Arrival/Departure Record

Form I-94 is a document issued by U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) to record a foreign national’s arrival and departure from the United States. The form includes information such as the individual’s name, date of birth, passport number, country of citizenship, and the date and place of entry into the United States. In immigration court proceedings, Form I-94 can be used to establish an individual’s immigration status, the duration of their authorized stay, and their compliance with the terms of their admission. The form may also be relevant in determining an individual’s eligibility for certain forms of relief, such as cancellation of removal, which may require a specific period of continuous physical presence in the United States.
