Green Card (Form I-551)

A green card, officially known as a Permanent Resident Card (Form I-551), is issued to individuals who have been granted lawful permanent resident status in the United States. In immigration court proceedings, a copy of the respondent’s green card may be submitted as evidence of their legal status and eligibility for certain forms of relief, such as cancellation of removal or naturalization.
