Passport

A passport is an essential travel document issued by a country’s government to its citizens for the purpose of international travel and identification. In the context of immigration court proceedings, a foreign national may be required to present their passport as proof of their identity, citizenship, and nationality. The passport can also contain information about the individual’s travel history, including entry and exit stamps, visas, and other relevant details that may be pertinent to their immigration case. In some instances, the absence of a passport or other identity documents may complicate the removal process and the individual’s ability to obtain travel documents to return to their country of origin.
