Police Clearance Certificates

The beneficiary must obtain police clearance certificates from any country where they have lived for six months or more since the age of 16. These certificates attest to the beneficiary’s criminal history or lack thereof and are used to determine their admissibility to the United States. In immigration court proceedings, police clearance certificates may be submitted as evidence of the respondent’s good moral character and eligibility for relief.
