Bond Request and Supporting Documents (if applicable)

If a respondent is detained by immigration authorities, they may be eligible for release on bond pending the outcome of their removal proceedings. To request a bond hearing, the respondent must file a written request with the immigration court, along with any supporting documents that demonstrate their eligibility for bond. These documents may include evidence of the respondent’s ties to the community, their employment history, and their lack of criminal history or flight risk. If the immigration judge grants the bond request, the respondent will be released from detention upon payment of the bond amount.
