Evidence of Financial Support

In addition to the Affidavit of Support, the petitioner must provide evidence of their financial resources, such as tax returns, pay stubs, or bank statements. This evidence demonstrates that the petitioner has sufficient income or assets to support the beneficiary and any dependents. In immigration court proceedings, this evidence may be relevant to the respondent’s eligibility for certain forms of relief, such as adjustment of status or cancellation of removal.
