Form I-730 (Refugee/Asylee Relative Petition)

Form I-730 (Refugee/Asylee Relative Petition)

Form I-730 is a petition filed by a principal refugee or asylee on behalf of their spouse and/or unmarried children under 21 years of age who were not previously included in the refugee or asylum application. This form allows these family members to join the principal in the United States and obtain derivative refugee or asylee status. The petitioner must file the form within two years of their own admission as a refugee or grant of asylum, unless humanitarian factors justify a later filing.
