Form I-765, Application for Employment Authorization (if applicable)

Form I-765 is used by certain foreign nationals to apply for an Employment Authorization Document (EAD), which allows them to work legally in the United States. In immigration court proceedings, a copy of the approved Form I-765 and the issued EAD may be submitted as evidence of the respondent’s legal status and work authorization.
