Form I-830, Notice to EOIR: Alien Address

Form I-830 is used by DHS to notify the Executive Office for Immigration Review (EOIR) of a foreign national’s current address. The form is typically filed with the immigration court when there is a change in the individual’s address or contact information to ensure that the court has accurate records for the purpose of sending notices and correspondence related to the removal proceedings. Failing to keep the immigration court informed of a current address can result in missing important hearings or deadlines, which may lead to negative consequences, including an in absentia removal order.
