Request for Admissions

A request for admissions is a type of discovery request that asks the opposing party to admit or deny specific statements of fact or the genuineness of certain documents. The purpose of this request is to establish undisputed facts and narrow down the issues in the case. If a party admits a statement, it is considered conclusively established for the purposes of the lawsuit. If a party denies a statement, they must explain the basis for their denial. Failure to respond to a request for admissions within the specified time frame can result in the statements being deemed admitted.
