Conservatorship Petition

A Conservatorship Petition is a legal document filed with the court to request the appointment of a conservator to manage the financial and/or personal affairs of an individual who is unable to do so themselves due to mental or physical incapacity. The petition must include evidence of the individual’s incapacity, as well as a proposed plan for the conservatorship. The court will review the petition and may appoint a conservator if it determines that such an arrangement is necessary to protect the individual’s well-being and financial interests. The Conservatorship Petition is an important tool for ensuring that vulnerable individuals receive the necessary support and protection, while also preserving their autonomy and dignity to the greatest extent possible.
